Employee of the Quarter, John Fababeir, Proposes in Batanes

John Carell Fababeir is Axiem’s Employee of the Quarter for the 3rd Quarter of 2014. This recognition was announced during the company’s Christmas Party on December 13, 2014.
John works as a Web Developer and Designer at Axiem Corporation. He started with the company since its first day of operations. He was also an Employee of the Month awardee for November 2013. Since then, he continuously manifested his admirable work attitude and passion for web. With this, he got to enjoy an all-expense-paid trip to Batanes for two. But this trip was more than a relaxing getaway for him.
The Proposal
John and Abby, his long-time girlfriend, both share the same dream of sealing a romantic deal in Batanes. “No matter what happens I will save money to travel to Batanes and that is where I will propose to Abby,” says John. “But this incentive has just made it all perfect. It was time to kneel and ask the woman I love to marry me,” he adds.
They travelled to Batanes in the morning of February 12 and went around the majestic views that the island has to offer. Abby said yes in Marlboro Country on Valentine’s Day and the engaged couple came back to Manila on the 15th.

Question : What inspires you to be good at your job?
John : I’m doing this for my family and also for my future with Abby. They are the reasons why I am always determined to accomplish things and achieve more not just in work but in life. I also look up to my teammates and the Management Team who encourage me to excel in what I do.
Question : What are your words of encouragement to your colleagues to get this incentive?
John : Focus on what they need to do and stay inspired. Motivate yourself to do great even in the little things or small details of your work. These little things can help you go places, especially at Axiem.
Question : What do you want to say to Maryann and Peter?
Thank you for the generosity. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that Abby and I will not forget. This is what we dream about and for that, we are truly grateful.
